We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our product development team. You will be working with our amazing development and testing team, co-working with other engineering development teams. You will join the development of our world-class Q marine infotainment displays and integrate world-class international partner products into our boating ecosystem. Our Q is Linux-based but the entire system consists of backend, frontend, mobile, and embedded components on the software side. We utilize open-source components, so understanding the consequences of that is crucial for the work. We are proud to say that we have created the most user-friendly global product for our segment, really the only one designed for external integrations and we will continue to disrupt the marine display markets. Usability, partnering, integration and ability to think out-of-the-box are some of our key targets but real-world testing the functionalities on our test boat is as important.

Nextfour Solution with its Q product family is disrupting the marine navigation system markets but is already an experienced and well-established product development company. In Finland we are known for our white-label displays that equip Buster, Yamarin, Cross and Askeladden boats to name a few. Worldwide we work with over 50 boat brands and have distribution and sales in 15 countries. We design and develop both our own brand and create solutions for our boatbuilding or propulsion development customers. We cooperate closely with our worldwide equipment partner network. This includes hardware, software and mechanical adaptations and integrations. AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU
• Participate in the whole process from ideas, design, implementation to a final product
• Take part in developing our expertise in software development and cooperation models
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Comprehensive experience from and understanding software architecture system design and how the different components affect the entity
• Visionary technically talented designer with passion for usability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, build setups in the office and/or at customer facilities or if needed build testing setups on our test boat together with colleagues
• Good communication skills, English skill required
• A solution-oriented attitude and a team player with a sense of responsibility
• Interaction skills to share own design thoughts and review other colleague’s designs
